Death by Breadstick

I feel there needs to be a disclaimer before every missionary email-- all good things come from God. Fortunately, my readers understand this principle and don't need to be told every week. The repeated statement would probably bore you to death.

I've always enjoyed my unique relationship with Suzie. She has a constant drive to nurture, and I don't mind being nurtured. This kinship is best served when food is involved.

Suzie took Candice, Elder Sika, and me to Olive Garden. It was great. I ate and ate while I listened to Suzie talk about her marvelous experiences and abiding testimony of the Book of Mormon. Candice was both spiritually and physically fed. Then Suzie offered to take Candice to and from church the next day. So of course Candice had a great time! But the best part of it all is I am actually the one giving service! Suzie needed someone to nurture! So do I say your welcome? Our relationship is a paradox, but I love it.

Suzie is a very strong woman. Wow.

To increase our productivity Elder Sika and I where thinking about developing some basic parquor techniques. Free-running between buildings and over rooftops will help us talk to more people each day. And if we master the two story barrel-roll we will be able to jump from the top of local apartment complexes and begin the journey to our next destination.

Recently I've pondered our Saviors actions to the Nephites when He condescended His heavenly throne shortly after His resurrection. He took the time to greet every person individually. The thought is staggering when you look at time as finite. If I were in His shoes I might get bored after the 32nd person. Fortunately, nothing prevented Him from obtaining His objective. Everyone needs a personal relationship with Him and He is willing to take time out.

Its the intimate personal relationship that we as humans naturally crave. Its the relationship with Mom when she attempts to take the blanket off to get me out of bed and I say no but somehow end up in the car on my way to seminary. Its when dad comes to my volleyball game and I notice him in the stands but pretend I don't see him, then shrug when he says I had a good game. Its when my brothers and sisters succeed in their respective field and I think to myself, "God is good". Its going cliff jumping with the priests, everyone following Bradburn and Porter. Anywho, you get the point so I won't belabor the discussion with monotonous repetition.

I'll close with a quote from our apartment. I won't say who was talking to who, but I thought it was funny. To give a little context we play scum every once in a while. "Are you going to clip your toenails right on the Cards? Really?"

I love you
