August 18, 2014

Elder Sika laid on the ground and mustered enough neck strength to raise his head and ask his question, "can you step on my back?" I would normally respond in the negative seeing my 200 plus pound body frame would do some damage to most spinal columns but I figured hey why not. Fortunately, he is an incredibly solid man so the back cracking process went along without too many hiccups.

The other day we were playing basketball and he let out one of his Tongan war cries. Its enough to get you unsettled. It definitely brought the Nordic Berserker out of me. My favorite yell is "oy-ya-wae" very similar to the plea in The Other Side of Heaven when Elder Groberg laments his friend's poor health.

Brother Williams invited us to his store the other day to talk with a group of religious leaders in the community. We walked into the thrift shop and sat down in a circle among friends. Brother Williams asked why there are so many churches if Christ established one church, with one Lord, one faith and one baptism. It led to a wonderful conversation were we had the chance to bear testimony of the apostasy and restoration of the priesthood. It was fun.

It seems all is going well and that makes me happy.

I love you
