Awesome things are happening at home it sounds like. Nate and Kelsi have a son (what's his name by the way?) and Matt and Debbie are getting married really soon. Its very exciting to hear all this.
You said that President Ashton seems like a top notch guy. He definitely is. He is the type of guy that does not fail. He does everything he sets out to do. It is really fun to try and see what is on his mind and go and make it happen.
He taught us about repentance the other day. The lesson delved deeply into the atonement. It was fun to learn.
I've been thinking a lot about Elder Bednair's parable of the pickle. He described how a pickle is made. First a cucumber is picked, cut and cleansed. Then it is put into a special vinegar juice to be saturated. It takes time, but when the cucumber eventually becomes a pickle it is sealed. Like a pickle we go through a process to be cleansed. We are baptized and cleansed. Then we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and are saturated with the spirit. Eventually our very natures change and we are sealed with the Holy spirit of promise and the gospel has changed us.
